The dreaded day came when Mommy had to go back to work! She went back to work on May 18 and boy, that was not a fun day for all parties involved - ok, maybe Mommy's work was excited, but Daddy and I were miserable! When Mommy pulled out of the garage that morning she really thought twice about pulling back into the garage and staying home for good as tears streamed down her face. Then, the word "mortgage" came into her mind and off she went back to work. Daddy stayed home with me the first several days, no worries Mommy called a lot to check in on us. Daddy and I slept in, watched movies, went shopping, sent Mommy pictures on her cell phone, and did what boys do best together - had fun! Daddy dressed me in a really cute onesie for when Mommy came home...it really says it all! We both missed Mommy lots! I have to admit though that I had a great time bonding with my Daddy, but I am still wondering about this thing called work!!

A Visit to Papaws
My Papaw is a very avid hunter - he absolutely loves going out west on big hunting trips. He couldn't wait to take me to his house and show me all his mounts! He had me posing with his grizzly bear and antelopes! It looks like I am going to end up being a hunter too or that is what Papaw tells me. One of my favorite parts of the trip was that I got to curl up on the couch with my Papaw and take a nap with him! The trip to Wise, Virginia was such a great trip. Before we headed back to Blacksburg, Mommy showed me where she went to high school and better yet where she used to play tennis. It brought back many memories for my Mommy! We are all looking forward to heading back to Wise...soon!

Mother's Day
Hope all of the Mommies out there had a wonderful Mother's Day. Mommy celebrated her first Mother's Day this year! We were in Ohio that morning for her special day then we traveled back to Virginia. For Mother's Day, my parents and I went out for brunch with my Papa, Nana, Aunt Amy, Uncle Michael and my cousins, Owen and Jackson. We had such a great time!
For Mother's Day, I sent Daddy out to buy Mommy a Dogwood Tree. Mommy's favorite tree is a Dogwood and I wanted to plant something that she could always cherish. Daddy planted the tree in the front yard for her. Daddy bought Mommy tickets to the football Hall of Fame game on August 8th where the Tennessee Titans are playing for the first time in many years. Mommy loved her gift, as you all know she LOVES the Titans! I think I am staying with Nana and Papa that day while they are at the game...just a thought! Mother's Day was so wonderful for all of us...enjoy the pictures from the special day!
